Vande Ganapatim Isham

 

I bow to Lord Ganesha 

To that giver of contentment and fulfilment, who is praised by angels
To that one with the elephant's face who chastised the Moon, I bow. (1)

To that one who is worshipped with red fragrant paste: He who brings joy to the heart of Mother Gauri
He whose very being is consciousness, to that one who removes fear of earthly existence
To that son of Lord Shiva who gives happiness and blessings, I bow. (2)

To that one who removed the manly pride of Sage Vyasa and King Janaka
To he who destroyed the demon Sindura
To the true Self - the sight of whom is the source of bliss
To the primordial sound 'Om", both form and formlessness I bow. (3)

To the embodiment of the sacred seed syllable -"Gam"
To that imperishable sound and essence of spiritual practice
To that blessedness attained by Sage Atharvan
To the remover of obstacles who is praised be the greatest of poets I bow.(4)
Prosperity! Liberation! Peace!
Again and again I bow to Lord Ganesha!
