-Emily Dickinson
Mural in Amherst, Massachusetts, home of the American Self-realised poet Emily Dickinson.
Dickinson used 'slant rhyme' or half rhyme frequently in her works. In her poem "Hope is the thing with feathers" the slant rhyme is soul—all.

Hope is the Thing with Feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.

I love Emily Dickinson, and I love this!
Hi Kathleen.
I never had any interest in poetry until I saw a documentary film on her life and work, about 30 years ago. Then I was totally converted.
